July Monthly Recap, Survey Results & Priorities
To my MKB VIP Crew,
Thank you again so much to those of you who took the July Survey! I always so appreciate the comments and feedback so I can continue to learn and grow MKB VIP into what our community wants it to be. I started MKB VIP with the vision of what I wanted to see when I was making bets, but I want this space to grow and be shaped by what we ALL want and need! I believe what we have here is pretty unique and special and it will only get better over time as we continue learn and share what we want.

July Notes from Mama:
1. NPS Scores:
For those familiar with corporate life you may have gleaned my first two Qs will stay consistent every month and are aimed at getting a "NPS" (Net Promoter Score) for MKB VIP, which we can then track over time to see if sentiment is improving, declining, or staying the same. Not surprised to see a slight decrease here after the "honeymoon phase" of the early days, plus my plays haven't been up to my expectations for where I usually am for profitability. June was negative and July is basically breakeven. I always want this space to be about the data and using the data and less about my plays, but obviously my whole purpose of betting is trying to be profitable - and I only share my plays because I believe in my edge and believe it can help others profit as well! So when that isn't happening it's a big bummer, even though we know gambling is inherently risky.
Do I still believe in my edge? YES! Do I know if/when things will turn around? No. The best I can do is keep going at it the same way every day, and wait for the day(s) the math breaks more in our favor. But I also want everyone to keep in mind one of my key rules of betting/tailing others: only bet what you can afford to lose (duh), but also - when tailing others, only bet on something you BELIEVE in. There's nothing worse than tailing someone on a play you don't even like, and then it loses. Ugh, the worst!! So just some food for thought. If the play looks fun to you and like something you would play anyway and you believe there is value in it, tail away! If you feel like you're only tailing just to tail but you don't even like the play - I'd skip it. It's easier to stomach in the long run.
2. Bots:
Looks like we all like QuickPick Bot (or don't care) - me too! They don't show odds for SGPs though if you don't have Pro which bothers me, so I sometimes will add in GamblyBot for those.
3. Tucking:
Wow, pretty split here, but it looks like slightly more of us either don't mind tucking or don't care one way or the other, so I'm going to "relax" this rule a bit.
My new guidance would be: the PREFERENCE is to only share tickets you shared here first (because so many others DO want to see them and DO want to tail!), but I'd also say if you had an awesome win that you are super proud of, is meaningful to you, AND - important AND - you built it using MKB data, you can share it with the group. Because honestly, it does make me so happy seeing when you guys win using the data, even if you weren't able to share it earlier (I totally get that life gets busy!). It may also inspire the rest of us with new ways to look at the MKB data provided, or give us all that glimmer of hope that we CAN win when we use the powers of data AND value!!
4. Ambassador Program:
Some notes in the first summary image above, but my plan is to get something up and running with this by end of summer!! The goal being to add slightly more volume from others who bet in a similar style to my own, but cover perhaps different markets, different bet types, different average odds, etc! So complementary and supplementary volume to create a more well-rounded "menu" of opportunities for all members to consider, and if they choose, tail! More details will be coming soon.
5. Membership Push:
As you all can probably tell I haven't been super active on X on getting more membership. This is primarily because I really wanted to get the "product" into a better spot before bringing more people in (which I believe I now have with all the additions and improvements to the Value Finders and models), but also honestly a bit because I kind of love having this small tight knit community here! I'm not ever going to be the type that just wants MORE MORE members and views members as a number in the door. I'm really more interested in building a quality community of people who understand the value of what we are doing here and not just looking for the spammy, "we hit these every day in the cord" type vibes. Feel like this will always be a smaller audience and I'm totally okay with that, but psyched to build something that is hopefully more meaningful.
That being said I know having more people around makes things a bit more fun and lively, and also more friends to bounce ideas off of and make and tail plays together, so I DO want to get our numbers up a bit. I'm going to run and push a promo on X starting this week for most of August. If you want to support the cause, look out for the post on X and please like and share! Also excited to get some Ambassadors going so we have other promoters too, since it is not my strong suit, hehe.
Additionally, I am introducing a NEW membership tier for Discord Only membership - this will be for those who are primarily interested in tailing my plays and/or those of others in the community, and less interested in building their own plays with the data. This will be accessible at a more affordable price point as it will NOT include website (and therefore data and tool) access.
Lastly, I plan to raise the price for the premium “All Access” membership FOR NEW MEMBERS ONLY at the end of the summer in anticipation of the higher volume of resources required to continue running everything with multiple sports going in the fall, and in hopeful anticipation that we have even further improved the products by then! Any pricing plan you are on now is LOCKED IN - your price will never increase above the price you agreed to initially. The price increase will be for NEW MEMBERS ONLY.
Other Ideas/Thoughts/Feedback from the survey and Mama’s responses
Will NFL & CFB be offered this upcoming season?: NFL definitely, with a focus on ATTDs and First TDs, but all other key props will also be carried in the Value Finder too! And I'm PRETTY sure I can get CFB as well - this will probably be more similar to how WNBA runs, with AI-supported projections and Value Finder. But I will definitely try to get us something!
I still think DFS has some untapped value for cords. Maybe a section where we talk about DFS value & core plays?: This is an interesting idea!! I don't have the bandwidth to do a full deep dive on this right now, But I will get WNBA DFS projections added and make sure DFS projections are added for other sports as well! Then I can add to future surveys to see if I should bump this up in prioritization! For chatting, I'd say you can absolutely go ahead and use the existing channels to chat DFS! Anyone is absolutely welcome to strike up sports specific convos in those even if it is not directly a ticket - feel free to chat DFS, trade news, recent player performances, or anything else you're interested in! Those are our member spaces for us all to use as we enjoy so please chat away!!
I dont mind adding cappers that share their own plays just as long as its no one trying to promote their own discord or paywall etc.: Totally get that!! I'm going to be really careful and considerate with how I implement this, but ideally I'm looking to add some people with a similar betting style and philosophy to my own but who maybe focus on other markets or look at other types of plays who can therefore add a bit more complementary volume to the community! I only have so much time in the day and like to focus on the "data" aspect, so feel like I don't always have as much time for the play curation. I have more thought and exploration I want to do here but I was happy to see the initial interest already from this group!! I'll be following up hopefully before all the fall sports kick off to see if we can get some other people flying!
Maybe more options of high value wins that are more likely to win, and less long shots: Totally get this one as well! I'm definitely known to focus on the unhinged plays, hehe. I will definitely try to add in some lower odds plays as I have time, but I also think my Ambassador program could help with this too if I get some people in who focus a bit more on lower odds, still with value. Will definitely be one of the key spaces I look to fill for sure!
I would like to see more consistent advice with recommended unit sizes on all bets. I am not limited so I'm not always sure what to put on bets where you have been limited.: This is a GREAT POINT and I am so sorry I sometimes slack on this!! Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I am going to make a conscious effort to ALWAYS include my unit reccs and especially clarify when I would do more or do something different if I had higher/no limits. If you notice me slacking again just poke me in the AMA! This is important to me to do consistently.
